A season of festivities and new beginnings has arrived on campus!

4. SFL has Begun!

Starting with the appointment of our new Chancellor, Mr Lakshmi Narayanan, former CEO of Cognizant. Previously, he was a member of Krea’s governing council. Mr Narayanan has taken over from Mr N Vaghul, former Chairman of ICICI bank, with effect from 16th October 2023.

Closer to campus, the 2023-2024 SIAS Student Government is now in office! The Chairpersons are Ayaan Bedi and Pranav Harikrishnan, the Ministers of Learning are Harini Bhatia, Dhruv Raghavan and Simraan Bedekar, the Ministers of Campus and Culture are Anjali Polite, Harshi Shah, and Riya Parekh, the Ministers of Finance are Divij Doshi, Mishka Katyayan and Arnav Goel, and the Information Coordinators are Aariya Thoumoung and Arundati Ganesh. Additionally,  a quartet of festivals have brought the festive spirit to our campus over the past few weeks. Durga Puja, Navratri, Halloween, and Diwali have all been celebrated with pomp and fervor, thanks to the Organising Committees, Ministry of Campus and Culture, Her Campus Krea, and our wonderful Student Volunteers. 

If festivities weren’t already creating enough excitement, football fever has now struck Krea! The 2023-24 SFL has begun! This 3rd edition features 12 teams. The men’s SFL teams are - Kingfisher Ultras, Goal Diggers FC, Zenith FC, Demon Time FC, Sakhavu FC, Toit FC, Jhawar Power, and Let ‘Em Cook FC. The teams in the Women’s SFL are Pique Blinders, The Tiki Taka Ten, Ladybug FC, and Naughty Nashedis. Want to see who will clinch the title from the previous winners Balls Deep FC and Kickass FC? Matches take place every weekend, do look out for the announcements on On Campus. And it’s not just the SFL, KBL is coming soon too! Game on!
