Foreword:
The following comic was written, conceptualised, and drawn prior to the horrific rape case in Kolkata on the 9th of August 2024, and prior to the candle vigil held on campus on the 15th of August 2024. The events following the rape case would include reports of sexual violence against minors and against Dalit and Tribal communities also. Voices that were unheard in calls to end rape culture. This comic was intended like other strips to be both a critique of current events and also a celebration of independence day through humour. I as an artist and a writer stand with protesting doctors and women to bring justice for the victim and to raise a voice against abuses towards our medical community, Dalit community, and taking a stand against the culture of sexual violence and misogyny in our country.
